Plasmarella

Vj Plasmarella started out making gothic music videos with liters of fake blood, maggots and girls in corsets. Her current visuals are less gory but the fascination of strange and dark scenery is still present.

Most of Plasmarellas material consists of self-made video clips
sampled from the immediate surroundings – from packed dance floors to
the inside of her freezer. She also has a love for stop-motion
animation, noisy video images, feedback, distorted TV signals, and
macro-images.

Plasmarella has been involved in organizing events for media art for
several years and more recently started to make visuals. She has
toured with the Urlyd team and performed at parties and festivals.
Plasmarella (Barbara Nordhjem) is from Denmark but now lives in the
Netherlands where she studies cognitive neuroscience, organizes
cultural events and collaborates with other artists as much as
possible.
